Dr. Tara L. Svatos is a South Bend native and has practiced in the Michiana area since 1993. She is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Svatos provides unhurried examinations to her patients, young and old alike.

As a Doctor of Optometry, part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education.  As technology and the world around us changes, I have to keep up-to-date, because I have to provide the best care possible for your eyes. I am board certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases and Indiana State certified in ocular therapeutic pharmaceuticals. I am a member of the American Optometric Association, the Indiana Optometric Association and the North Central Optometric Association.

"I was born in South Bend and grew up in the Granger area.  I attended South Bend schools and graduated from Adams High School.  After eight years of education in Bloomington, I received my Doctor of Optometry degree from the IU School of Optometry." 

 

"I am currently a member of multiple optometric associations including the AOA, IOA and the NCOA.  I am certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease and state certified in the use of ocular therapeutics. I am qualified in many clinical aspects of optometry including:  primary care, ocular disease, contact lenses, glasses, geriatrics, pediatrics, binocular vision abnormalities and more."    

 

"I sincerely enjoy helping people with their visual needs on a daily basis.  A quality patient-doctor relationship is very important to me.  I want patients to enjoy their experience and feel they are receiving very thorough yet efficient comprehensive eye exams."
